Here we will teach you how to upload your catalog using the assistant that Mirakl offers to help you in the process by manually mapping the necessary attributes for its creation.

This method is simple, and you ensure that the categories and attributes you want to include are correctly mapped since it is a manual process.
Before starting, you must create an Excel file with the following characteristics:
- It must be an XLSX or CSV file encoded in UTF-8.
- The file must include the following mandatory fields:
EAN, MPN, name, brand, category, description, and at least one main image. - It may contain up to 8 additional optional image fields.
- Logistic data such as height, depth, or weight are not mandatory, except in exceptional cases. If you do not know them, leave all the logistic fields blank.

To begin, click on the right-side button "Manual Mapping Assistant". A bar will appear on the right side of the screen with two options. Click on "Edit Mapping with Assistant".
In this window, you will see the option to upload the Excel file that you have previously prepared. Click on "Select a file" or drag the file directly, then click "Next step".
In the next screen, under “Categorization” in the section “Column corresponding to the category”, select the column in your file corresponding to the category. In the displayed image, it is called “Category” (which is how we recommend naming it). Click on “Next step”.
The next screen is "Category Mapping". In this example, we have created a template with an item in the "Chairs" category. To map it, simply drag the category from the left column to the right column. Look for the category or categories you want to map using the search bar on the right.
The next step is "Attribute Mapping". This step may vary depending on the names you have assigned to the columns corresponding to your attributes, but the mechanism is similar to the previous step. Here, you need to click on the field to be mapped in the left column (our values), and on the right side, your Excel fields will appear, where you must select the correct field to map it. Important: It is also mandatory to map the category's EAN.
The next screen takes us to "Value Mapping". In this case, it refers to the brand, style, and color of the chair. Ensure that the brand is already created; otherwise, inform your Account Manager. In this step, your Excel fields and values will appear in the left column. Click on each value to map it to the corresponding Marketplace value in the right column. We recommend using the small search bar to find them.
In the next step, no action is required, as it is used to define attribute rules, which we currently do not use. Click “Next step”.
Finally, a general summary will be displayed along with any items that may be rejected due to incorrect mapping. If everything is correct, click “Import my products”.
A window will appear asking you to monitor the import. Click on the blue button: "Monitor Product Import".
