- Summary
If you sell in Portugal, you must provide delivery conditions for the entire Portuguese national territory, including its autonomous regions.
The regulation allows different delivery conditions depending on the geographical destination, especially regarding delivery costs.
This means you may apply different shipping costs for mainland Portugal, Madeira or the Azores, provided that they are justified and do not indirectly prevent the sale.
- Do not exclude Madeira or the Azores if you sell in Portugal.
- Do not block orders because of the customer’s residence or location within Portuguese territory.
- Do not apply disproportionate or unjustified shipping costs to avoid selling in the islands.
- Do not set delivery conditions that, in practice, prevent the customer from completing the order.
- If you sell in Portugal: you must also sell in its islands.
- You may adjust shipping costs: provided they are justified by the destination.
- You cannot use shipping costs as a barrier: the price must not indirectly prevent customers from buying from Madeira or the Azores.
