Shipping

Preparation and delivery times affect the customer experience, delivery efficiency and the competitiveness of your offers. Only configure deadlines that you can meet consistently.

Important: late shipments are not, by themselves, an automatic suspension criterion in MQC. However, delays may generate incidents or affect other operational indicators. If the configured limits are reached, MQC may trigger warnings or automatically suspend the shop.

1️⃣ Why shipping times are important

The shipping time you configure is part of the information customers use when deciding which offer to purchase.

A fast delivery time can make your offer more competitive, but it must be consistent with your actual preparation, dispatch and delivery capacity.

It is better to offer a slightly longer deadline that you can meet consistently than to promise fast delivery and deliver the order late.

2️⃣ How to configure realistic shipping times

Select only the shipping methods and delivery times that you can normally meet.

Before activating or changing a deadline:

  • Check how long you need to prepare the order.
  • Review your carrier's collection times.
  • Consider weekends, public holidays and periods of high demand.
  • Check that the published stock is actually available.
  • Confirm that the deadline can be met in all territories linked to the method.
  • Update the configuration when your logistics capacity changes.

As a recommendation, configure only a small number of shipping methods and make sure they are clear, useful and consistent with your operation. Avoid activating several options that provide almost identical conditions.

To create zones, select methods, configure costs and review logistics classes, see Shipping configuration .

3️⃣ Delivery efficiency and 24-hour delivery

Delivery efficiency shows whether orders arrive within the deadline communicated to the customer.

Requirement for 24-hour delivery: only shops with delivery efficiency above 90% can offer standard 24-hour delivery.

If you do not reach this level, review orders delivered late, the preparation times configured in your offers and the performance of your carriers.

Low delivery efficiency does not automatically suspend the shop or block payments. To learn how this indicator is calculated and where to review the results, see NPS and delivery efficiency .

4️⃣ What happens if you miss the stated deadlines

Configuring deadlines that you cannot normally meet may result in:

  • Lower delivery efficiency.
  • More customer enquiries and incidents.
  • Negative ratings and reduced customer trust.
  • A poorer shopping experience.
  • Lower competitiveness for your offers.
  • Manual review in serious or repeated cases.

Delays should not be confused with the automatic MQC criteria. However, poor logistics management may affect metrics such as the incident rate or validated tracking.

If an MQC-controlled metric reaches the configured limits, the system may trigger a warning or automatically suspend the shop. See Automated quality criteria .

If your results decline, use How to improve your quality indicators and prepare an action plan to identify the causes and define specific actions.

5️⃣ How shipping relates to the BuyBox

Shipping time is one of the aspects that may influence the competitiveness of an offer.

The BuyBox also considers other factors, including price and the seller's overall quality. Offering the shortest delivery time therefore does not, by itself, guarantee winning the BuyBox.

Avoid: artificially shortening the shipping time to make the offer more attractive. A missed deadline may harm the customer experience and your shop's overall quality.

Review the main factors involved in BuyBox .

6️⃣ How Fulfillment can help

With Fulfillment by PcComponentes, you can outsource part of your logistics operation so that PcComponentes manages the storage, order preparation, shipping and returns of products linked to the service.

The service may help improve delivery speed, traceability and reliability, particularly during campaigns or periods of increased order volume.

Please note: Fulfillment requires prior activation and does not, by itself, guarantee winning the BuyBox. Conditions, fees, scope and requirements must be reviewed with the Fulfillment team or your account manager.

To learn how the service works and request information, see Fulfillment .
