In this article, we explain why the creation of new products may take different amounts of time and what you can do to speed up the cataloguing process.
- Why there is no exact timeframe
- How you can speed up product creation
- How to check whether your products have been created
- Who to contact if you have questions
The process for creating new products depends on several internal factors, including:
- The number of products pending review.
- The cataloguing team’s workload.
- The quality and completeness of the information submitted.
- The need to review, correct or complete product data.
For this reason, product creation does not always take the same amount of time for every product.
The better the information you submit to the PIM, the easier it will be to review and validate your products.
Before submitting new products, check that the information is complete and follows the marketplace quality standards.
- Complete the mandatory product fields.
- Add clear and consistent titles.
- Include complete and useful descriptions.
- Check that the brand, category, EAN and attributes are correct.
- Upload valid, good-quality images.
- Avoid duplicating products that already exist in the catalogue.
We recommend synchronising your catalogue periodically on the platform.
This will allow you to check whether the products you submitted for cataloguing have already been created and are available for you to link your offers.
If you have questions about the process for creating new products, you can contact your account manager.
