The Buybox, or purchase box, is the section where sellers bidding for the same item appear. There is always one winning bid whose offer appears on the main product page, giving it great visibility and a high chance of making the sale.
However, other non-winning stores appear in the Buybox if the customer expands the listing to check other offers.
Important: within the Buybox, the top five winners are visible. If your offer does not appear, review the competitiveness of your items to try to win the Buybox or at least be among the winners.
Think of the Buybox as a scale: on one side is your offer, and on the other, your competitors’ offers. You must get the scale to tip in your favor by meeting a series of requirements.
Important: each parameter has a specific and unique weight on the scale.
Price
Price obviously carries significant weight. The more competitive it is (especially if it clearly stands out from the competition), the more the scale will tip in your favor.
Shipping time
The sooner an order is delivered, the more weight this factor will have. It is possible to have the best price but slower shipping and still not win the Buybox.
Overall quality
Setting a good price and the best shipping time does not guarantee winning the Buybox if you do not offer good quality. For example, it would be useless to set the best shipping time if you do not consistently meet delivery deadlines.
Important: Buybox winners are ordered by item condition and then by price, from lowest to highest.
Keep in mind that this section is important and you should internalize this information to increase your sales, which is the main goal of being here.
To increase your competitiveness review your catalog regularly: check which items win the Buybox and which do not, and analyze the reasons why you are not winning it.
Whether or not you are a TOP store in our Marketplace depends on you.
