What is the Buybox?
The Buybox, or the purchase box, is the section where sellers bidding for the same item appear. There is always a winner of the bid whose offer appears on the main product page, giving it great visibility and many chances of making the sale.
However, other non-winning stores appear in the Buybox if the customer clicks on the dropdown to see other offers.
What parameters are considered to win the Buybox?
Imagine the Buybox as a balance, on one side is your offer, and on the other, your competitors' offers. You must get the balance to tip in your favor by meeting a series of requirements.
Price: Price obviously has significant weight. The lower and more differentiated from your competition, the more the balance will tip.
Shipping Time: The sooner an order is delivered, the more weight it will have. It may be the case of having a better price but worse shipping and not winning the Buybox.
Overall Quality: Setting a good price and the best shipping time does not guarantee winning the Buybox if you do not have good quality. For example, it would not be worth setting the best shipping time if you do not meet it and your quality, in this case, is poor. Quality measures incidents, delays, shipping efficiency, and above all, good customer service.
Keep in mind that this section is important, and you should internalize this information to increase your sales, which is the goal of being here.
Regularly review your catalog to see which items win and which do not, and analyze why you are not winning to increase your competitiveness.
Being a TOP store in our Marketplace depends on you.
