Fulfillment: how to create items in inventory

In this article, we explain how to create items in your Fulfillment inventory through a bulk import from a file.

Important: this process only applies to sellers with Fulfillment active. Before creating inbound shipments, products must be registered in the tool's inventory.

1️⃣ What bulk import is used for

Bulk import allows you to create several items in your Fulfillment inventory at once, using a spreadsheet with the required information for each product.

2️⃣ How to prepare the file
  1. Download or prepare the import template.
  2. Fill in each column with the information for your items.
  3. Check that there are no empty required fields.
  4. Make sure each SKU is unique.
  5. Save the file in the format accepted by the tool.
Keep in mind: if the file contains errors, the import will not be completed and no items will be created.
3️⃣ Required and optional fields
Field Required Description
Item name Yes Must include a descriptive product name.
SKU Yes Unique item reference. It cannot be duplicated or left empty.
EAN13 code Yes Must match the barcode on the packaging. It will be used during scanning at warehouse receipt.
Image No Must include an image URL starting with https, if you choose to complete it.
4️⃣ How to import the file
  1. Access the Fulfillment tool.
  2. Go to the item import option.
  3. Select Select file.
  4. Find the prepared spreadsheet on your computer.
  5. Check that the file has been uploaded correctly.
  6. Select Create items to start the import.
5️⃣ What happens if the file contains errors

If the file contains errors, the import will not be completed and no items will be created.

  1. Review the errors indicated by the tool.
  2. Correct the original file.
  3. Upload the corrected file again.
  4. Run the import again.
Recommendation: review the data carefully before uploading the file to avoid delays in item creation and later inbound shipment processing.
